Low hydrogen costs thanks to intelligent electricity usage
NextHeat uses electricity during the cheapest hours. Our algorithm buys surplus electricity on the spot market, often for less than 3 euro cents per kWh, and converts it into hydrogen at your company's premises. This ensures low production costs, stable prices, and efficient use of renewable energy.

Our hydrogen solution is suitable for industrial companies that want to replace natural gas or external hydrogen supplies in their production process – without investing in hydrogen production and with predictable operating costs. Typical areas of application include glass manufacturing, the ceramics and brick industry, paper processing, aluminium and steel production, and tyre manufacturing. We focus on projects with an electrolysis capacity of 2 MW or more (for hydrogen supplies, 200 kW or more).
NextHeat takes care of the planning, financing, construction and operation of the plant. We bear up to 90% of the project costs. During operation, you only pay for the hydrogen supplied at a fixed price – similar to your current energy supplier. Only a small portion is required, e.g. for permits, foundations and, if necessary, new burners.
Yes – and flexible. We rely exclusively on robust, proven industrial components. Our solution covers part of your gas requirements. When electricity prices are high, the hydrogen storage tank is empty or the electrolyser is undergoing maintenance, your process will continue to be supplied with natural gas as before. This allows you to combine security of supply, cost-effectiveness and CO₂ savings – without any effort on your part for operation, maintenance and servicing.
Yes, but not on your own. Permits and grid connection are your responsibility – but our team will support you with technical expertise, experience and the necessary documentation.
In most cases, yes. Our solution is designed for energy-intensive processes such as industrial furnaces, drying or thermal plants. We check compatibility in advance – quickly and thoroughly.

Depending on the location and general conditions, we are able to fully implement projects in approximately 9 to 12 months after the investment decision has been made.
